Expectations

 I hope that you can attend every lesson that we schedule but I know that life happens all the time and it becomes difficult. If you know that you will be unable to attend a lesson, please notify me 24 hours before the start of our lesson. if I am not informed a day or more in advance then you will still pay for the lesson since I will have had time allotted to already being there for the lesson. This is the same as paying me for my time! If you have an emergency and must miss the lesson, try to let me know as soon as possible and I will not charge you for that lesson. If there are extenuating circumstances, then just communicate with me and I will most likely not charge you for the lesson!
 

 For BASSOON & SAXOPHONE I charge $30 for a half hour lesson, $35 for a 45-minute lesson, and $40 for an hour long lesson. For GUITAR & PIANO I charge $25 for a half hour lesson, $30 for a 45-minute lesson, and $35 for an hour lesson. Payments can be given to me every lesson or monthly for all the lessons we have had for that month. If you are planning to do monthly let me know beforehand, please! You can pay me with cash, check, or through the Venmo app if it is easier for you, my Venmo is @Jared-Shay777. If you have a hard time making payments I am always willing to work with you to find a way for us to both be happy! 

If you want to improve, you need to practice! Practice is not just playing your instrument. Practice could be listening to relevant music, learning some of your instruments history, or fixing your instrument (adjusting a reed, changing guitar strings, etc.).

I always encourage you to have fun while practicing! If you have a pop song stuck in your head, then why not get your instrument out and find out the melody?! Fundamentals should be done every day at the start of your practice for a little bit of time. One thing that I recommend is that you don’t put all of your practice time in on the day of our lesson, try to space out your practice and keep it consistent. If you practice 6 days a week you will grow extremely quick! If you don’t practice then I WILL KNOW!!!
